Job Summary
As a Business Development Manager I, you will be primarily responsible for the development of and growth of Key Accounts, new customer prospection and single point sales in a specified region, while being application focused.
Essential Functions:
- Acts as the liaison between the company and our Key Customers.
- Complete ownership of sales process in region from trade show coverage, lead generation and qualification, positioning of product, evaluation of sales opportunity, customer procurement, and post-sales support.
- Define and execute a sales strategy to meet sales and margin targets.
- Manage Key Accounts from sales through receivables as assigned by sales management.
- Provide accurate opportunity and territory forecast based on both prospect pipeline and market analysis.
Qualifications:
- B.S. or higher in physical science, Engineering or Lasers/Electro-Optics with 5+ years of professional customer support and/or sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to create strong, long-lasting relationships with high-value clients.
- Exceeds in learning new technologies and a strong affinity for presenting this technology clearly and succinctly to customers and colleagues.
- Excellent documentation and note-taking skills.
- The drive and ability to work on their own and part of a team.
- Able to obtain a passport.
Physical Requirements:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear.
- Travel requirement up to 50%, including international travel, with a focus of maximizing customer contact during travel.
- Must be capable of working in front of a computer for long periods of time.
- The candidate must be able to lift and or move up to 50 pounds with minimal assistance.
